Nissan's HR16DDT, MR20DDT and VR38DETT engine family covers everything from efficient commuters to the legendary GT-R supercar. All respond to ECU tuning, from gentle Stage 1 on the Qashqai to extreme calibration on the GT-R Nismo platform.
The Nissan Qashqai with 1.3 DIG-T and 1.6 dCi deliver +25–40 Nm in Stage 1. The Navara with 2.3D responds with +40–60 Nm for improved towing. The GT-R with VR38DETT twin-turbo responds to specialist tuning with dramatic power increases beyond 700 hp with supporting hardware.
Nissan ECU tuning is performed via OBD port for most modern models. GT-R tuning requires specialist tools and experience with the VR38 platform. All maps are fully reversible.
